Every band has a story buried in their rig.
The Rig Rundown started from a simple, slightly obsessive question: what is that band actually playing through? Not the version from the press release, the real answer, including the borrowed head, the pedal that has been on the board since 2016 and the cab held together with gaffer tape.
It began as a few friends talking about guitars in a garage. It has since put the same questions to Trivium, Biohazard and Dave Ellefson of Megadeth, and to bands playing their first support slot the same week.
Northern Ireland's heavy scene is small, stubborn and very, very good. Most episodes come straight out of it. When touring bands come through, we grab them too, usually somewhere between soundcheck and doors.

Pete has been contributing to the music industry, on the local scene and behind the scenes, for over 25 years. From playing as a session guitar player, to becoming an established musician, to booking, promoting and hosting, he has spent that time helping usher in the new wave of local bands.
He works tirelessly across it all: curating live shows and club nights at Voodoo Belfast, working the media tent at Bloodstock Festival, and fronting Nihilanth, Delusional Silence and Ketos, as well as singing in the new tribute act SlipKoRn.
The Rig Rundown is where all of that lands. Mainly metal, but embracing all kinds of music from bands of every level, plus creators of other kinds of entertainment: comedians, artists and media personalities.
